General
Please remind your student(s) to remove their shoes and place them on the shelves/racks outside of each studio space before entering for class. This helps to keep our dancefloors clean and in the best condition possible.
Your health and safety matters to us! If at any point you or your student(s) are unable to come to class, whether that be due to illness, injury, or weather and road conditions, that is okay, send a message to let us know!
The lost and found is located on the top of the white shoe shelf in the boutique. Please remind students to check for any potentially lost items.
If the Albion CSD closes for the weather, GDPA will also be closed for the weather. On that same note, if a teacher is unable to come to the studio, their classes for the evening will be canceled for that night. (Should classes be canceled for the evening, a message will be sent out on Remind )
Miss Danielle has created a take-what-you-need valentines display full of positive affirmations and love. Be sure to check it out in lobby A, and take a heart if it speaks to you.
We are always looking for volunteers, especially for our larger events like the end of season recital. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please fill out this volunteer application.
This season we have switched to online billing. If you would like to view your invoice online, please contact the studio via email and we will get that to you ASAP.
PIcture Day(s)
Photos By Bruce will be in the studio on Monday, March 9th, 2026 and Tuesday, March 10th, 2026. Monday and Wednesday classes will have their portraits taken on Monday evening (March 9th). Tuesday and Thursday classes will have their portraits taken on Tuesday evening (March 10th). A full photo schedule will be posted online and in the studio by February 2nd.
*Miss Rachael’s classes on Tuesday, March 10th will be canceled for the evening and scheduled for a makeup lesson before the recital.
If your student is unable to attend either picture day, please let Miss Danielle know by Friday, March 6th. There is an option for your student to be photoshopped into the group photos for a $25 fee. Please let your student’s teacher and Miss Danielle know, as well as making a note on your photo form.
Order forms for photos will be available for pickup at the studio by February 4th. You will need one form for each class that your student is in. Please come to the studio on picture day with your form completed as there will not be time to complete it at the studio on the day of.
Please arrive at photo sessions 10 minutes before the scheduled time for the class. Your student should be in the costume and tights for the class listed and with their hair styled as their teacher specifies. Tights are available for purchase in the boutique if you need any.
Students may wear makeup if they wish, but the makeup application should be on the more natural side and not as heavy as stage makeup.
Any and all costume pieces (including shoes and tights if you are able) should be labeled with your students name on the tag or an internal panel. Masking tape and a permanent marker work great but you can use whatever you'd like. If a costume has a hairpiece, please make sure that you have a secure method of storage (ziploc baggie with your name on it hung on the hanger works great) and it is in your students hair with the correct placement for the photos.
If you choose for your student to have an individual portrait taken, it would be a good idea to have them come up with and practice some poses at home before picture day. This helps keep the photo schedule moving.
Costumes
Most costumes have been delivered and handed out during your students' classes. We are still waiting on a handful of costumes (latest estimated ship date Feb. 20th and should arrive at the studio no later than Feb. 28th) Please make sure that ALL costumes you have are on a hanger located in a safe space in your home. This will allow for any wrinkles from the packaging to work themselves out.

Changes for the Upcoming 2026-2027 Season
The registration form and process are going to be altered to be more “first time” friendly, pretty much the same stuff but broken down on the page differently.
Class groupings and breakdowns: In the past, classes have been known by their full information ( day, time, studio, teacher, style, age range, song title from previous year and current year). We will be switching to a more skill based breakdown and doing away with listing by song title. See chart with breakdowns below.
There will also be a creative movement class for ages 2-4 to focus on strength, coordination, and listening skills before starting baby classes.
We will begin transitioning jazz shoes to match skin tones (this will clean up the appearance of lines and uniformity on stage) as well as shifting our tights in stock in the boutique to exclusively transition tights, we will order footed tights by special request for those who prefer.
Closing Statements
Miss Danielle would like to put together a focus group/panel to gather thoughts, opinions, ideas, and reflections of how this past season went from different perspectives. If you are interested in participating please fill out the volunteer form linked to the top of this document.
Thank you again for taking the time to come together and collaborate with each other. We are very grateful to have you as a part of the GDPA family. Miss Danielle and the rest of the GDPA family are always here for you and are available for just about anything. Please reach out if there is anything you would like to discuss.
